Peter Bassill: Quick Fire Interview

The Hedgehog Security team spoke with CEO Peter Bassill to get his thoughts on the upcoming White Hat Rally and how he’s preparing for it:

What made you want to get involved with the White Hat Rally?

The children

What aspect of the White Hat Rally are you looking forward to the most?

The drive

How do you think you’ll fare with the clue-deciphering part of the rally?

We’re a husband and wife team, we will end up lost and in a pub.

Can you tell us a bit about the car you’ll be driving?

Mixie is a race prepared MX5, built in 2000. She is a great little car but not the most comfortable thing to drive over distance.

What can you tell us about your team and how they’re preparing for the rally?

We have checked out all the menus of the pubs in the area and are compiling a list of places for lunch.

What sparked your passion for racing?

I don’t know. I’ve been racing for a while

What has been your favourite moment in motor racing so far?

Driving the Audi R8 LMS around Donnington national circuit. It was an extremely powerful car and I culled a clear 14 seconds from my previous best on the circuit.

Where is your favourite race circuit?

Brands Hatch, the Indy circuit mind. For such a small circuit, there is only really one straight and even that isn’t exactly straight. My personal best 50.22 seconds.

The White Hat Rally is raising funds for the children and young people’s charity, Barnardo’s. If you would like to support Hedgehog Security in raising money for this wonderful charity, click here: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/SirTaintlyofBreach
