At the oval
The team at Hedgehog Security can’t wait to get their clue-deciphering hats on for the upcoming White Hat Rally! Why not take a look at a few photos of one of the two cars we will be using for the event:
Miyuki-chan is a 19 year old exotic beauty born in Hiroshima, Japan, with pilot Steve and co-pilot Cassandra. The RX7 is one of the few rotary engine cars to go into mass production, originally a 1.3 twin-turbo charged two rotor engine producing 265hp. The car has been reworked to produce 420hp and lightened down to a breezy 1180kg, in a sleek stylish 90’s kind of way. 0-60 comes in around 4 seconds with a top speed in excess of 180 mph. Other than ABS there are no driver aids at all, Miyuki is always an event to take out on the road no matter the conditions.
Don’t ask about fuel consumption, she’s an expensive lady with expensive taste!
(Also flames come out of the back when you change gear).
The rally is raising money for Barnardo’s, a great charity that supports vulnerable children and young people across the UK.
Did you know:
£20 could pay for a “survival kit” of basic essentials such as shampoo, toothpaste and soap for an abused girl who has fled her home with nothing.
£105 could provide an abused child with three vital sessions with a psychologist to help them rebuild their life.
£1,000 would cover the cost of an ‘outreach worker’ for 3 weeks.
Any amount you can donate to Barnardo’s is greatly appreciated, if you would like to donate please click here, thank you!

This year our fun packed motoring adventure “Knight Riders – Knights of the Roundabout” goes to Dorset and takes on a chivalric theme to raise funds to support Barnardo’s in their work with vulnerable children. White Hat Rally helps to protect vulnerable children in the UK by supporting carefully selected charities. Our concern is particularly focused around the threat presented by the Internet and other modern technologies that have placed children at an increased risk of abuse. While the Internet and mobile communications have brought many benefits to modern society, they also present many new threats. Information Security specialists make a huge difference to businesses, helping to reduce risk, but while businesses are well protected, children aren’t. We are committed to supporting charities that give vulnerable children somewhere to turn for help, actively reduce risk, support the victims of abuse, stop cruelty to children and restore their confidence in society.
My team will be paying its own way in fuel, accommodation and beer so every single penny you donate will go directly to Barnardo’s. Please give generously at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/knightmares
